1/18/08 UPDATE: Happy New Year!

We've spent the past few weeks recovering from the Holiday rush, adding items from our inventory (almost a thousand so far!) to the new Online Shopping side of the website and working to merge some of our new features into existing sections to make your experience here at www.MotorsportCollector.com easier without losing the comfortable feel of the old site.

For example, on our Die Cast New Arrival page, we've replaced the old 'Secure Order Form' links under each new model with 'Click to Order' links that will take you directly to that item's entry in Online Shopping. Once there, you can put the model in your Shopping Cart, click back to the New Arrival page and continue browsing. As time goes by, we will be adding this feature to other sections of the original side of the website.

We'll probably be adding stuff to the Online Shopping section every day for the rest of the winter. Those of you who have been to our shop in Downers Grove will know why!

Here's some information on some thing's we've been working on:

CanAm: A Speed Odyssey: By far the most anticipated new arrival here at TMC in quite some time. Producer Robert Nevison now tells us that he expects to release his DVD in early to mid February. After uncovering more film footage that was originally thought to exist, Nevison has been working seven days a week assembling what is sure to be a mind blower. From the 70 minutes of coverage originally promised, we're now told the program has grown to a full 100 minutes of full color, original, Unlimited Sports Car footage without an increase in the $34.95 retail price. Motor Sport Calendars: A small quantity of the Limited Edition 2008 Motor Sport Magazine calendars (1000 numbered copies) are expected to arrive next week (better late than never!). This year, the theme is 'The Magic of Monaco' and the large format (23.76" x 16.8") wall calendar features 13 specially selected Rainer Schlegelmilch photos printed in black & white on high quality 250gsm art paper. Featured drivers include Jim Clark, Graham Hill, John Surtees, Jackie Stewart and Lewis Hamilton. At $75.00 plus shipping, they're a bit pricey, but at year end you are left with 13 framable photo images by one of the greatest photographers in motor racing. Sounds like a bargain. Order HERE.

Automobile Year #55 (2007/08): Our first shipment of the new Automobile Year is due to arrive by the end of the month. $85.00 Reserve now . Only a few copies remain from this shipment. Order HERE.

Last Call: Two of 2007's most popular books are very close to selling out: Jim Clark: Life at Team Lotus and Dan Gurney's Eagle Racing Cars. Both are sure to be in very tight hands when they sell out, so you've been warned!

12/18/07 UPDATE: Well, we never thought we see this one! After nearly 4 years, Minichamps has shipped us the 1/43 scale McLaren 2-seater in 1/43 scale ($49.95) with Mika Hakkinen at the controls. On board is Mika's wife Erja, as she was during a demonstration run in Lapland in 2000. The McLaren is equiped with rain (snow?) tires. A very nice piece (the model that is). 12/17/07 UPDATE: The first of the 1/43 Minichamps 2007 Formula One cars is finally here, the Nick Heidfeld BMW Sauber ($39.95) and more than a dozen more new 1/43s from Minichamps are in stock. Photos and data are being added to the New Diecast Page and the Shopping Cart website today and tomorrow. NA Watt's breathtaking new giclee print 'The Winner Takes All', signed by Kimi Raikkonen, is now in stock ($400.00). Pre-orders shipped today. Kimi Raikkonen has signed the new Nicholas Watts print 'The Winner Takes All'. Our first shipment is due to arrive early next week. Only a few copies are still available for Christmas delivery. 12/6/07 UPDATE: The Autocourse 2007/08 air shipment has arrived. $69.95 plus shipping. Also, two of our favorite video programs have finally been converted to US Format DVD: The History of Motor Racing 1950s and The History of Motor Racing 1960s are now available for $29.95 each.

12/5/07 EVENING UPDATE: Our first 'Air' shipment of Autocourse 2007/08 is scheduled to arrive on Friday. A limited number of copies will be available at $69.95 plus shipping (Special Offer orders will be filled out of our second shipment later this month due to the extra shipping cost involved. Special Offer orders can be upgraded for an additional $8 per book). Also due early next week are the 2007 LeMans Annuals ($89.95).

Also due to arrive on Thursday is the 1955 Mille Miglia winning Mercedes-Benz 300SLR ($269.00) and some other 'goodies' from CMC.
