Starring Howard Duff, Helen Stanley, Dave Willock, Louise Arthur, Minor Watson, Harry Shannon, Don Haggerty, Edna Holland, Ray Walker, Paul Bryar. Duff promises wife Stanley he'll quit racing once he tries his hand in the Indianapolis 500 but he's crippled in a crash. Trying his hand at other jobs, he still yearns to be back on the track, so his wife helps him save enough money for a racing car. He gets into the Indy race only to find his leg prevents him from doing well. In a break with the usual tradition of sports movie women, the wife tells him, "Never minde, we'll win it next year."
