This
trophy was awarded to Sir Stirling Moss for his efforts in a Formula
2 event at Brands Hatch in August of 1958. That day, Moss drove
a Rob Walker Cooper Climax F2 to an overall victory, finishing
second in the first 100 mile heat then winning the second.
To put an exclamation point on the
day, Moss turned the fastest lap in heat one, then set a new Brands
Hatch F2 record in the second.
The Trophy stands a modest 6 inches
tall. Originally offered by Sotheby's by Stirling Moss.
