On July 21, 1962, Jim Clark won
the British Grand Prix at Aintree driving a Lotus 25 - Climax.
His smooth, relaxed driving style was captured by motor racing
artist Michael Turner in a painting that was published as an open
edition print later that year. Clark was so impressed by Turner's
work that a copy was displayed above his extensive trophy collection
at the family home, Edington Mains.
A photo of Clark standing beside
this collection is featured in 'Jim Clark Photographic Memories'
sold at the Jim Clark Room in Scotland.
We have aquired a copy of this 1962
Michael Turner print of Jim Clark's Aintree victory and have framed
it with a copy of the photo from the Jim Clark book and an autographed
black and white photo of a victorious Jim Clark hoisting yet another
trophy for the Edington Mains collection.
This one of a kind piece has been
framed using all acid free materials and UV resistant glass.
