The most impressive of the new line of Mattel
Hot Wheels Formula One cars are the 1/24 scale McLaren dioramas.
They feature a nicely detailed F1 car in it's pitbox, along with
a fueling rig and toolbox. The 99 David Coulthard car is now in
stock. You can also pre-order a Mika Hakkinen version. $59.95
each.
When you're all by yourself late at
night, you can even pretend you're making a real live pitstop.
Underneath the base is a plastic pit
'lollypop'. Pull it off and signal DC to stop and hold the brakes.
Use your 'lollypop' to open one of
the two fuel doors on your McLaren.
Try not to squeeze DC's little head.
It shaped strange enough as it is.
Unfurl your fueling hose and give DC
a quick fill-up of fuel.
Fuel sloshing noises optional.
Stow the fueling hose and check your
toolbox for the latest copy of Playboy.
Make squeeling noises as DC pulls away
in a cloud of smoke.
We do not recommend setting your basement
on fire to complete the effect.
All kidding aside, this is the best
of the new Mattel F1 models. Enjoy!
