& Promotions has sent us pre-production 'Sample'
pieces of the first two 1/18 scale Lola T-70's roadsters in their
new Road Race Classics Series.
The first car in the series will be Dan Gurney's AAR Bardahl Special Lola T-70 Ford as it appeared in the 1966 Can Am season. On September 16, 1966 Gurney drove this car to victory at Bridgehamption in the second ever Can Am race.
It was to be the only Ford powered victory in Can Am history.
The Lola T-70 features lift up engine cover, a highly detailed Ford engine,rolling wheels and detailed suspension system. We have a page of close-up photos HERE.
Two additional Lolas have been announced for release later in the year. They are the Penske Racing Sunoco Special Lola T-70 roadster as driven in the 1966 USRRC by Mark Donohue, and the Donohue-Parsons Penske Racing Sunoco Special Lola T-70 Coupe as raced at Daytona in 1969. We are accepted advance orders (also $74.95 each) for these cars as well.
A series of 1/18 scale Can Am McLaren M8's will begin in late 2000 (price TBA). Photos of the first molds have just been released and are featured HERE.
