90 years of Maserati: reason enough
for CMC to concern ourselves closer with that brand which is without
a doupt one of the Italian racing car manufacturers with the most
venerable history. CMC decided to commemorate this birthday with
a replica of the 250F. After all, this racing car is called the
most beautiful Monoposto that ever hit the racetrack. Also, the
year 1957 was one of the most distinguished and eventful of the
company's history. On the 4th of August, more than 200,000 people
witnessed the start of the Grand Prix of the Century at the Nürburgring.
After a acrimonious fight with Ferrari's Mike Hawthorn and Peter
Collins, Juan Manuel Fangio was able to score his greatest triumph
with the lightweight constructed Maserati 250F. Because with that
legendary victory, Fangio clinched his 5th world championship
title and became a legend of racing car history, as did the 250F.
The full metal model is made of
1.387 single handmounted parts. And as we show you here, we focused
our attention not only at the body. Also the "inner life"of
the model was build with the highest possible level of details.
