The first 1/18 Auto Art Porsche 917K is now in stock at The Motorsport Collector. It is an officially licensed piece representing the Gulf Porsche driven by Steve McQueen's character Michael Delaney in the cult classic 'LeMans'. The box art is adorned with photos from the movie along with McQueen's most memorable line (albeit slightly modified) : "Racing is life! Anything that happens before or after, is just waiting!"
This nicely detailed model is a giant step up from the Eagle's Race Porsche 917's released over the winter. The doors and tail section open up and the front 'kick panel' is removable.
