1. Audi Front 225 Roadster, 1935, Scale 1:18

Audi has undoubtedly had one of the most spectacular and exciting runs in the 100-odd years of automobile history. Men like August Horch have blazed trails for history. It was him who founded a new factory on July 16, 1909 in Zwickau, Saxony and named it Audi. The naming of "Audi" was actually inspired by the Latin equivalent of his last name. In 2009, we are looking back upon the 100 years of a famous automobile brand name. To celebrate an anniversary like this, it behoves CMC to mark the occasion with a classic, high-end, 1:18 scale model. Together with Audi, we selected the Audi Front 225 Roadster, first presented to the public in 1935. What with its extraordinary sporty look, the graceful curves of its well-balanced body, and its aerodynamic line management, the Audi 225 touched off a real sensation among automobile enthusiasts upon its first public appearance.

CMC offers this ravishingly beautiful model of more than 1,600 single parts in three different two-tone colour combinations, which further enhance the appeal of its charisma and elegance. Enjoy the incredible depth of details and high value of this exceptional model.

2. Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR Uhlenhaut Coupé, 1955, Scale 1:18

The construction of the 300 SLR Uhlenhaut Coupé marks definitely the birth of one of the most thrilling cars that was ever built from Daimler-Benz. The SLR-Coupé was basically developed and meant for the 1956 racing season. But after the Daimler-Benz AG decided to retire after the 1955 season, the Coupé never had the chance to prove its worth on the race track. Only two pieces of this two-seater were built, but that was enough to make it a legend. The amount of public attention was extraordinarily high for this sports car. The reason is hard to guess: It was a devil in disguise. Basically a 300 hp Formula 1 Silver Arrow, this Coupé was piloted by Rudolf Uhlenhaut, the ingenious engineer and leader of the Mercedes racing department.

After the car was granted an official approval for road service, Rudolf Uhlenhaut used it to his advantage. What might be the hottest Mercedes of all times was now used for Rudolf's daily business trips and offered a means of seeking adventurous amusement for this exceptionally gifted engineer and excellent driver. He must have had a lot of fun.

Our highly detailed CMC model is based on one of the two still existing "company vehicles" of Rudolf Uhlenhaut.

3. Ferrari 250 GT / SWB Berlinetta Competizione, 1961, Scale 1:18

After the huge success of the Ferrari 250 GT/SWB Berlinetta street version, we like to say one more time: "Gentlemen, start your engines". But this time the racing enthusiasts will take a seat behind the wheel of the racing version "Competizione".

This CMC-model replicates the victor of the 24 hours of Le Mans held in 1961, with the chassis number 2689 and starting number 14. The race-drivers Guichet and Noblet teamed up for this race. The car finished as the victor of the GT class and was placed 3rd in the overall results. The model comes with a silver-coloured body and light blue racing stripes. All the special features that make a "usual" SWB a Competizione are there in our replica. This is a model that will enthuse every racing-fan, especially those who are Ferrari fans, as well. As a footnote, we will also offer a standard version of the Competizione (without starting number) in red.

4. Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa, 1958, Scale 1:18

One of the most classy and successful racing cars of all time, Testa Rossa was also Ferrari`s flag ship for endurance races. The light aluminium body was designed by Pininfarina and contructed under the supervision of the coachbuilder Scaglietti. Its victory at the 24 hours of Le Mans in 1958 made history, bringing worldwide fame to the car and its drivers, Olivier Gendebien and Phil Hill.

The name "Testa Rossa" comes from the red-painted valve hood of the powerful V-12 cylinder engine with a maximum output of 300 hp. But not only is its power extraordinary, but the so-called "Pontoon Fender" also gave this car an unique look

We showed a handcrafted sample of the Testa Rossa at the 2008 Toyfair, but a lot of detail-oriented enhancement has been introduced since then. We expect a finished 1:18 scale model to become available for the market during 2009.

FYI, we also will offer a limited edition version of the race-approved car with the chassis number 0732. It participated in the competitions of the 12 hours of Sebring / USA and the 24 hours of Le Mans, among many other races. Don in its American racing colours -- white with twin blue longitudinal stripes, the miniature is a feast for the eyes.

6. Ferrari Dino 156F1, 1961 "Sharknose", Scale 1:12

Because the scale 1:12 has gained increasing popularity in the collectors' circle, it is now more or less a trend for manufacturers to follow.

For CMC, this scale is special, for it provides a much-welcomed venue to vividly demonstrate CMC's detail-oriented art of model building. 7. Horch 853 with pure copper body, 1937, Scale 1:12

The name of Horch was a synonym for the highest quality and elegant lines of car manufacturing during the 1930s. The type 853 might well have been the most remarkable model presented to the public in 1937 by the Zwickau car manufacturer. Equipped with a 5-litre engine, this four-seater sports convertible became the preferred vehicle of industrialists, actors, and powerful politicians in short, the High Society.

Even today, this Horch convertible looks as fascinating as ever. In order to show its minute details, we chose to stick with the 1:12 scale and are offering it as a limited edition, with a copper body that is coated colour-free. This is a replica that combines extraordinary charm, elegance and value into a harmonious whole. The shiny and precious-looking surface of the copper body, together with the countless details, will appeal to the dreams of all vintage car fans.

Special features:

Made of 0.6 mm copper plate, the hand-built body breaks new ground in model building. Body parts are shaped into forms one by one before they are soldered into a single piece. A product of unique technology, this buckling-resistant, highly-durable, and light-weighted miniature brings the manufacturing of model cars to an unprecedented new level.

For this limited edition, no colour-based paint is used, thus enabling the collector to view the charm of the expensive copper body in its own light. Only a clear protective coat is applied so that the shiny body will be radiant forever and look its best.

The fully functional textile folding-top constitutes a novelty in model building, as well. A masterfully replicated metal hinge-system allows the collector to open and close the canopy as he wishes. It enhances the authenticity of the model and allows for two different ways of setting up the presentation of the model.
