The biggest surprise on the Exoto display was this prototype of the Ford 999 race car. Production versions will be partially constructed out of wood, as was the original car. The model will also feature moving engine parts. We'll have more details as they are made available.

Several versions of Exoto's 1/10 scale Ford GT 40 Mk II were on display, including the 1966 LeMans winning car of Bruce McLaren and Chris Amon (left) and the second place finisher (and some believe rightful winner) driven by Ken Miles and Denis Hulme.

Detail, as the photos show, is spectacular. We hope to see at least one of these by year end and will take advance orders at $598.95 plus shipping.

Exoto also showed this 1/10 prototype of the Ford Mk IV. No release date or price info on this one yet.

Various 1/18 scale versions of the Ford Mk IV were also on display. The Sebring winner (above left) has just been released.

Future versions were also on display. We particularly liked the 'pure line' version (bottom right), which shows the lines of the car a bit better than the competition versions.

Future releases will include 1/18 scale Ford Mk II's on diorama bases and 'raced' finishes. More on these items later in the report.
