12/29/05 UPDATE: Well, the Christmas rush is finally over. For the next week or two we'll be updating the site with new arrivals, primarily on the diecast side, that we didn't have time to tell you about in December. Among the highlights: The 1/43 Minichamps Fernando Alonso Renault is here, $34.95 plus shipping as is the latest arrival in the 1/43 Ayrton Senna Collection, the McLaren Honda MP4/4 from the 1988 Japanese Grand Prix ($42.95 plus shipping).
We'll check in with you again before year end.

12/19/05 UPDATE: It was a great day for new arrivals. I said there would be surprises, and.....
- AutoArt's long awaited Mazda 787B 1991 LeMans winner in 1/18 scale is here. It represents a new level of quality and detail for that brand. We'll post additional photos when we have time. $139.95 plus shipping.
- 'Motor Racing: The Early Years' is an extraordinary photographic history of European racing from the early 1900s thru the 1950s with more than 400 black & white (sepia, really) images from the Getty Images archive over 352 pages with a text written by Brian Laban. Absolutely the best photo book we've seen on the subject. $59.95 plus shipping.
- The 2006 Motor Sport Magazine Calendar is here and has exceeded our expectations. The theme this year is '100 Years of Grand Prix Racing' and the folks at LAT Photographic have come up with a brilliant selection of photos from their extensive archives. Nuvolari, Fangio, Clark, Senna, Moss, Villeneuve, Hill, Stewart, Hunt, Collins, Andretti, Piquet and Alonso, they're all here in this 24 (25, if you count the cover art of the start of the 1967 German GP - in color) page 'double' calendar. This year's format features two pages - one color, one black & white - for each month. Each page is suitable for framing when 2007 rolls around. A bargain at $65.00!
A few other notes as we hit 'crunch time': Our air shipment of Autocourse Annuals has sold out. Reserve now for the normal 'surface' shipment which should arrive later this winter. Motorfilms Quarterly 14 arrived today. All MFQ back orders shipped today. Subscriber copies of MFQ 14 will ship tomorrow.
If you're in the Chicago area, we hope you'll stop by to finish your Christmas or Hanukkah shopping. We'll be open from 10am to 6 pm the rest of the week (but I rarely get out of here at 6) and 10am to 1pm on Christmas Eve. We'll be closed Monday the 26th to recuperate, but will be open our regular hours the rest of the year.
There's plenty of great stuff in stock and more on the way (more new Minichamps later this week). See you soon!
