11/30/07 UPDATE: Two new books arrived at TMC today; Georgio Piola's annual 'Formula One Technical Analysis' compares and critiques the Grand Prix cars of 2006 ($37.95). Also, a new biography of sports car ace and High Performance Driver School entrepreneur Bob Bondurant 'America's Uncrowned World Driving Champion' ($75.00). Also in stock, the 'LeMans: In the Lap of the Gods' DVD ($34.95) we spoke about earlier this week.
2007 World Driving Champion Kimi Raikkonen has agreed to sign this new giclee print by Nicholas A. Watts. 'The Winner Takes All' ($400.00) will be produced in a limited edition of 500 copies. Pre-Christmas availability will be tight. Reservations are being accepted on the Motorsport Collector Online Shopping Website or by using the special 'The Winner Takes All' Order Form.
We'll have information on Michael Turner's new giclee print of Lewis Hamilton for you over the weekend.

11/27/07 UPDATE: As you probably know by now, last week we launched our new Online Shopping Website with about 400 of our most popular items and lots of special features. We'll be adding more items on a daily basis to reflect our extensive inventory and to keep you advised of all the new stuff that arrives here every day. If you like the way our 'old' site operates, that's fine. We intend to maintain our Original (launched in 1997) Website with regular updates on this page and in other sections of the site. In some cases, we will be linking the old site to the new to give you additional information as you consider your purchase. Basically, we wanted to add the long-overdue convenience of a 'shopping cart' without losing the personal touch you've come to expect from The Motorsport Collector.
Here's what's been happening the past week or so:
- As we announced in our latest Email Update last week, the 'CanAm: A Speed Odyssey' DVD has been delayed in production and will NOT be ready in time for Christmas. Ardennes Productions has uncovered the mother lode of original CanAm film footage and is busy editing that footage down to a program that will probably run between 90 minutes and two hours. We were a bit disappointed but I think it's worth the wait. We're accepting orders for January 2008 delivery. Still just $34.95 plus shipping.
- A mere 4 (or is it 5) years after their original catalog listing, a trio of 1/18 scale Porsche 908/3's from Auto Art are due to arrive in the US in the next week or so. They are 1971 race versions from the Targa Florio and Nurburgring 1000km races. From above left: #7 Gulf 908/3-Siffert/Redman-71 Targa Florio, #4 Martini 908/3-Marko/vanLennep-71 Nurburgring, #2 Gulf Siffert/Bell-71 Nurburgring. Each features a fully detailed engine compartment which can be enjoyed by using the lifting hood with metal strut support. Supplies for Christmas delivery will be short. Reserve early. $119.95 each plus shipping.
- The 2007 Michael Turner Christmas Cars should be here any day. Each card contains a descriptive caption and a Holiday greeting: "With Best Wishes for Christmas and the New year". The cards are also available without a Holiday greeting. $14.95 for a set of 5 cards (one of each scene) and envelopes. This year's set of 5 cards is pictured below:
- Last summer, we offered the import DVD 'LeMans : In the Lap of the Gods',

to compete at the 24 Hours of LeMans. The filmmakers follow Martin
Short's little team as they prepare for, then endure the trials
and tribulations of the world's most famous sports car race. Highly

- Updating CMC's latest release, the Mercedes-Benz 300SLR #722 driven by Stirling Moss to victory in the 1955 Mille Miglia. Our shipment is due within the week and we do have a few cars available from our Christmas shipment at this time. $269.00 plus shipping. Moss was guided by the clever invention of rolling trip notes by Navigator Denis Jenkinson. A miniature replica of the trip notes is included with every model.
- This week's Email Update will feature a new autograph option available on a few of CMC's 1/18 scale models. Are you on our Email list?

11/20/07 PM UPDATE: Although we won't 'officially' launch our new 'Shopping Cart' feature for a couple of days, it is now live and ready to accept your orders. Nearly 400 of our most popular items have been uploaded so far and more will be added every day for the next couple of months to reflect our extensive inventory of 'good stuff' as well as all new arrivals.
The Cart also has a 'Wish List' feature that will allow you to drop some not so subtle hints to your loved ones this Holiday Season.

11/20/07 UPDATE: Playing catch-up since we returned from Daytona. We hope to launch a new feature on the TMC website later this week. In the mean time, here's the latest on two items of great interest to many of you.
-Dan Gurney's Eagle Racing Cars: Dan and John have signed the balance of our books and they are expected to arrive next Monday. We will be processing your orders on Wednesday and Friday. All signed copies are sold.
-CanAm: The Speed Odyssey DVD: Good news/bad news. The discovery of additional footage will push the total running time beyond the 1hour 20 minutes we had originally expected for this program. I've been told the finished product will be 'closer to two hours than to one'. However, that means another delay. We are now looking at a January 2008 release in both NTSC (US and Canada) and PAL 2&4 (Europe and Down Under) formats at that time (BOTH VERSIONS PRICED AT $34.95 EACH)

11/7/07 UPDATE: Had a wonderful time at Porsche Rennsport last weekend and will be winging our way back to Daytona Beach for this weekend's HSR Vintage weekend on Thursday. If you find yourself in central Florida this weekend, stop by the Fan Zone at DIS and say hello.
I don't think our Motorsport Collector 'Road Show' tent has ever been set up this close to a Palm tree.
A shipment of Minchamps and Spark models was waiting for us at Daytona. We'll post information on everything when we return home next week. Highlights include a 1/18 scale Minichamps Jagermeister Porsche 917/20 as driven to victory by Vic Elford at Hockenheim in 1973 ($89.95). Also, the second in a series of 1/43 scale McLaren M6 Can Am cars from Spark: the Penske Racing Sunoco McLaren driven by Mark Donohue in the 1968 Can Am series ($49.95). Reserve now.
