11/30/01 UPDATE: Tomorrow, TMC will welcome racing historian Leo Levine for a signing of his new book 'Ford: The Dust and The Glory, Volume 2' and the reprint of 'Ford: The Dust and The Glory, Volume 1'. The signing will take place between 11am and 2pm (O'Hare willing). All are welcome. If you are unable to attend, signed books may be reserved (at no additional charge) for $39.95 each plus shipping.
GMP was kind enough to send us a 'rough prototype' of their forthcoming 1/12 scale model of the Ford GT Mk IV. It is on display in our main model case. The Andretti / Bianchi car #3 is now sold out. We are looking for more and will accept names for a waiting list. A few of the #1 Gurney / Foyt 67 LeMans winners are still available for January delivery. Our guess is they will be sold out by the time they get here.
The 1/18 Minichamps Porsche 917/30 ($119.95) and the 1/18 GMP Gurney McLaren M8D ($99.95) will be here in a week or so.
We hear the 1/18 scale Auto Art Chaparral 2 is 'on the water'. If you value your life, you won't call and ask for a specific date and time of arrival. It will be posted here 5 minutes after we find out.
With the Holiday Rush in full swing, we'd also like to suggest that if you wish to check the status of a future release model (as in 'Did I order one or not?') please do it by email and give us a few hours to answer. Don't call.

The Holiday Gift Guide will be updated every day between now and Christmas as new merchandise arrives and some of the rarer things sell out (we've already made one status change this morning with the arrival of a new book on The Art of Dexter Brown - now in stock for $59.95).

UPDATE: John Starkey's new book 'Racing With A Difference - The History
of IMSA' is due to arrive in the next week
or so. The book comprises six chapters covering the history of
the IMSA GT Championship from 1969 to 1993. John Bishop, founder
and President of IMSA wrote the first Chapter. Each Chapter then
contains an overview on the year's racing, rule changes, interviews
with the drivers, mechanics, people who were ther at the time.
There are the IMSA Yearbook race by race descriptions and ALL
the IMSA Camel GT Championship race results, (including chassis
numbers, where known). Here are the Corvettes, Porsche RSR's,
935's, 962's, the thousand horsepower Nissans and the lightweight

now confirm a price adjustment on GMP's forthcoming 1/12 scale
Gurney / Foyt 1967 LeMans winning Ford GT 40 Mk IV. The new price
is $444.95, a reduction of more than $40.00 from the previously
announced level. The Andretti / Bianchi Mk IV is priced at $489.95,
quite a bargain for such a low production (only 250) piece. Our
allotment of both models is more than half sold out with delivery
expecting late in December or January 2002. Reservations are still
being accepted. No advance deposit required. GMP is sending a
prototype Mk IV for display in time for our 'Ford:
