9/23/02 UPDATE: The new Minichamps models we talked about on Saturday are now in stock. Larger photos can be found on the New Release Die Cast page.

An interesting model came in on a trade over the weekend. It's the 1/43 scale Minichamps model of the 1995 LeMans winning McLaren F1 GTR. The model is in good shape, but is missing the outer box. First $75.00 takes it! - SOLD

9/21/02 UPDATE: We're expecting several new arrivals from Minichamps before we leave for Indianapolis this week. In addition to the USGP Event Cars in 1/18 and 1/43 scale, we'll have the 1/18 scale Juan Pablo Montoya 2002 Williams BMW FW24 ($64.95). Some interesting - and rather small Limited Edition - 1/43 scale sports cars are in the same batch including the 2002 Sebring winning Audi R8 and it's teammate ($42.95 each), the 2002 Rolex 24 at Daytona GT Class winner and Canadian Porsche 911 GT1 (also $42.95 each). Larger photos can be found on the New Release Die Cast page.

We'll be busy packing up for Indy this week. I'll continue our Hobby Show report when we return.

9/18/02 UPDATE: This morning we've added the first pages of our report on Exoto's display at the recent International Hobby and Model Expo here in Chicago. We'll try to add more later this afternoon.

A couple of racing notes: This afternoon, the old grandstand at the Milwaukee Mile will be imploded to make way for a new modern structure. We'll miss it, but its replacement is long overdue.
