7/31/03 UPDATE: Word from Minichamps: The 1/43 Peter Revson Yardley McLaren M23 will be here next week along with several other new pieces. A reminder, we will be at Road America for the CART race this weekend. The Gallery will be closed on Saturday, but you can visit our display in the Road America paddock all weekend. We'll have several Mario Andretti and Emerson Fittipaldi items available for those of you planning to attend the many autograph sessions throughout the weekend.

See you there.

7/29/03 UPDATE: Back from a couple days r&r between Road America race weekends. Several new books we think you'll like arrived in the past few days. From left to right: a restock of the Christopher Hilton book 'Nuvolari' has arrived ($39.95). A restock of the other new Nuvolari bio (by deAgostini) should be here in a couple of weeks. David McKinney's 'Maserati 250F' profiles one of the most successful - and beautiful - Grand Prix cars of all time( $34.95). We now have both soft ($24.95) and hardbound ($39.95) copies of Ronnie Spain's 'bible': 'GT40: An Individual History and Race Record' in stock.

Not pictured, a reprint of 'Lotus Twin Cam Engine' by Miles Wilkins is now available for $34.95 and another 'must have' reprint - 'Cooper Cars' by Doug Nye is back in stock for a low $39.95 price.

A new book on the history of the 24 Hours of Daytona written by JJ O'Malley is scheduled for release in the next week or so. We'll have details shortly.

'Melbourne Victory', a new Limited Edition print by Alan Fearnley was released this week. Each copy in the Edition (450) is hand signed by 2003 Australian Grand Prix winner David Coulthard. We're now taking reservations for August delivery. $325.00 plus shipping.

7/24/03 UPDATE: Wow! Wish we had these at Elkhart last weekend! Three new 1969 Trans Am Boss 302 Mustangs produced by Welly are now in stock at TMC. Left to right: The Shelby Racing #2 driven in select events by Dan Gurney, The #16 Bud Moore car of George Follmer and his teammate in the #15, Parnelli Jones. Priced to sell at $69.95 each. Photo sets of all three are now available on the New Die Cast page.

7/23/03 EVENING UPDATE: Our John Surtees Autographed Memorabilia page has been updated to include the items signed for TMC over the weekend at Road America.

We'll be adding lots of new arrivals today and tomorrow, starting with the three new 1/18 scale models seen above. Action has produced two different Sam Hornish cars in their series of 2003 IRL cars, Sam's 'regular' Pennzoil Panther paint job and the very sharp looking 'T3' movie paint scheme seen at Kansas City. Both were produced in VERY small quantities, just 958 in the Pennzoil Panther paint and 1,197 'T3' cars. Just $79.95 each. We also have the very nicely detailed 1/18 scale Auto Art Peugeot 206 driven by Marcus Gronholm to the 2002 WRC Championship. $59.95 plus shipping.

Photo sets of all three are now available on the New Die Cast page.

7/23/03 UPDATE: Looks like our 800 lines are operating again, at least until the next wave of thunderstorms. Later today, I'll be posting a selection of John Surtees autographed items from last weekend's private session.

7/22/03 AFTERNOON UPDATE: We introduced a selection of items from previous autograph sessions at our display at Road America over the weekend, including these two framed black and white photos autographed by American racing greats Phil Hill and Dan Gurney. On the left, Phil and Dan are driving a pair of works Ferrari Testa Rossas at the Nurburgring in 1959. Dan signed this photo for us at Watkins Glen back in 2001, and Phil added his signature during our Watkins Glen autograph session last month. Only 5 of these photos were done this way, - SOLD OUT. On the right, Phil Hill in the Ferrari Sharknose during the 1961 Italian Grand Prix at Monza, the race where he became America's first World Driving Champion. Phil signed just three of these for us at The Glen last month. They're available for $175.00 framed (approximate size 16" x 20") plus shipping.

Click the photos for a larger view. Sorry about the glare.

7/22/03 UPDATE: The latest reprint of Ronnie Spain's excellent book on the Ford GT is due to arrive this week. At $39.95, you can't afford to be without it!

Some of you may be experiencing difficulty reaching us on our toll free line today due to some technical problems with our carrier. We've had some nasty weather here the past couple of weeks, and maybe it's starting to catch up with them. They promise we will be back to normal soon, but in the mean time, please call our 630.515.1440 number with all orders and inquiries. Sorry for the inconvenience.

7/21/03 UPDATE: Today we're unpacking from a great weekend at the Brian Redman International Challenge at Road America. 1964 World Driving Champion John Surtees granted us a private autograph session in which he signed the first US copies of his new book 'John Surtees: Motorcycle Maestro' by Mick Walker exclusively for TMC, along with several other assorted items.

Signed books ($49.95 plus shipping) may be ordered by phone 800.722.8630 or 630.515.1440 or by using our SECURE ORDER FORM. All major credit cards accepted. Unsigned copies are available for $29.95 plus shipping. We will post other autographed items and some new arrivals in the next couple of days.

For those of you who inquired about the Jim Clark canvas and other Colin Carter Giclee prints over the weekend, visit our Colin Carter page HERE.

7/14/03 UPDATE: Auto Art will do this year's LeMans winning Bentleys in 1/18 scale as part of their new Motorsport Collection. 80353 is the LeMans winner, 80354 is the runner up. Looks like the price will be around $59.95 with a Fall 2003 release planned. We're taking orders!

We now have 'perfect' copies of Doug Nye's new book 'BRM, Part 2' in stock for $120.00 plus shipping.

7/10/03 UPDATE: Our first copies of Doug Nye's eagerly awaited 'BRM: The Saga of British Racing Motors, Volume 2 - Spaceframe Cars 1959-1965' have just arrived. The DJ's have taken a beating so they're going back. We expect 'perfect' copies next week, which will be available at $120.00 plus shipping. 'Peter Coltrin: Racing in Color 1954-1959' has just been released in Europe. Due to a last minute price increase (and a weak dollar) we've been forced to adjust our price to $149.95 plus shipping. Sorry about that. We expect our first shipment by the end of the month. Other new titles today include 'Ford: 100 Year History' ($29.95) and 'Catchpole and the 'F' Words' by Barry Foley ($19.95).

We've just received an advance copy of the reprint of Ronnie Spain's definative book on the Ford GT - 'GT40: An Individual History and Race Record'. The Spain book will be available in both hardbound ($39.95) and softbound ($24.95) editions later this month. It's a great deal. Previous editions were priced around $65.00, sold out quickly and brought $100+ in the secondary market. Reserve now if you don't already own a copy!

We've made arrangements with the US distributor of 'John Surtees: Motorcycle Maestro' by Mick Walker to have copies of this brand new title shipped to us in time for next weekend's 'Brian Redman International Challenge' at Road America where John Surtees is to serve as Grand Marshall. Unsigned copies will be available at our booth at Road America for $29.95 over the course of the weekend. We hope to have the 1964 World Champion sign copies of his new book (along with other items) for those of you unable to attend. We expect to have autographed copies available for $49.95 plus shipping but we cannot confirm that price at this time. We will accept pre-orders now, which you can cancel if our cost is higher.

Among today's new die cast arrivals are the latest 1/18 scale GTO from GMP and some 1/43 offerings from Spark. Visit the New Die Cast page for the latest photo sets.

One last new arrival: Andrew Kitson's latest print commemorating the Bentley victory at LeMans and signed by winning driver Guy Smith has now arrived. This limited edition of 750 signed and numbered prints is priced at just $85.00 plus shipping. Reserve yours now! Click the image for a larger view.

Minichamps announced late today that they will release a 1/43 scale Eddie Irvine Jordan Hart 193 later this year to commemorate Jordan's 10th Anniversary and Eddie Irvine's first Grand Prix start. This was the race where a brash Irvine dared to re-pass race leader Ayrton Senna after the Brazilian World Champion lapped him during the race. The pair were involved in a highly publicized punch up after the race. We'll post more info on the Minichamps Pre-Order Page in the next few days. but you can reserve now at $34.95 and well ship one to you as soon as Minichamps makes them.

7/9/03 UPDATE: The 1/18 Action 2003 IRL cars of Michael Andretti, Tomas Scheckter and Eddie Cheever (Eddie Cheever?) have just arrived. Check out the photo sets on the New Die Cast page. Demand for the Michael Andretti car is high, order now!. $79.95 each plus shipping.

The Cheever car is perhaps the best looking, albeit unusual model. Cheever has not yet taken a green flag in 2003, and while last year's Infiniti engine is installed in the model, there's a Chevrolet bow tie on the cowling. It's also has the smallest production run of any of the 03 IRL cars seen to date.

7/8/03 UPDATE: We'll be adding yesterday's new arrivals to the website over the next day or so. As you may have guessed yesterday, the reprint edition of Chris Nixon's classic 'Racing the Silver Arrows' has now arrived and is in stock for $74.95 plus shipping. Other new books will be added to the website tomorrow. Exoto's latest release, the stunning Billy Krause red #98 was the first ever Cobra race car. Exoto has bumped the price to $189.95 (sorry, no discounts) but has added a significant amount of additional detail. Check out the photo set on the New Die Cast page. Scroll down from the Cobra photos to see some great new 1/43's from Minichamps and IXO.

7/7/03 UPDATE: Lots of new book and diecast arrivals today. We'll get your preorders out today and list the new items on the site tomorrow.

7/3/03 UPDATE: Minichamps has just announced their 1/43 scale lineup of cars that competed in this year's 24 Hours of LeMans. It includes both the winning and second place Bentleys, the third place Audi, the Corvette team, the class winning Alex Job Porsche and several other significant cars. The announced release date on the entire series is '4th Quarter 2003', but you know how reliable release dates can be (2 Vipers from last year's 24 Hours arrived just this week). However, since last year's LeMans winning Audi was a complete sellout before its release, we suggest you place your pre-orders early.

Check out the whole line up on the Minichamps PreOrder Page.

Have a safe Fourth. See you on Saturday.

7/2/03 UPDATE: We're working on an update to our master Book List to include new books we expect to arrive between now and the end of the year. It's quite a lineup, the best in years. Here are a few new titles to whet your appitite: 'Formula 1 In Camera 1970-79' features the superb photography of the legendary Rainer Schlegelmilch and is expected to arrive by the end of August. Reserve now for $39.95 plus shipping. Christopher Hilton's 'Nuvolari' ($39.95) is getting rave reviews in the British motoring press. Scheduled for a September release here in the US but we may have a few advance copies available later this month for $44.95. Several classic motorsport books are being reprinted this year. The first to arrive will be Chris Nixon's 'Racing the Silver Arrows' priced at $74.95 (but subject to change without notice), which is expected any day. New editions of Ronnie Spain's Ford GT book and Doug Nye's 'Cooper Cars' are also expected this year. It's a good chance to fill some gaps in your collection! One of our favorite authors is Timothy Collings, who is working on a new biography of 3 time World Champion Jackie Stewart called 'A Restless Life'. We hope to see the finished product in time for Christmas. Pricing TBA.

Pre-orders are now being accepted for all the above titles.

New arrivals from Minichamps today include the Ford GT Concept Car in 1/43 scale, the first Cristiano daMatta Formula One release and a brace of Vipers from LeMans 2002. Visit the New Die Cast page for full photo sets.

7/1/03 UPDATE: Looking for a great deal? While supplies last, we're offering 'The Classic Car Paintings of Alan Fearnley' at more than 50% off the regular price. Reserve your copy now for just $29.95 plus shipping.

One of Europe's great automotive artists, TMC became Fearnley's first US dealer back in 1985.
