7/22/02 UPDATE: Back from a very hot (but enjoyable) weeekend at the Brian Redman International Challenge at Road America where we held a private autograph session with 3 time World Champion Sir Jack Brabham and his former partner, race car designer Ron Tauranac. It was an extremely unique opportunity to have both men sign copies of 'Brabham - Ralt - Honda: The Ron Tauranac Story' by Mike Lawrence, an excellent account of one of the strongest Formula One teams of the 1960's. Brabham and Tauranac teamed up in 1962 after Jack's back-to-back World Championships for Cooper in 1959 and 1960. Dan Gurney scored the marque's first Grand Prix victory in France in 1964. In 1966, Jack Brabham became the first (and only) man to become Grand Prix World Champion in a car bearing his own name. Teammate Denis Hulme backed up the achievement by becoming World Champion in a Tauranac designed Brabham in 1967. Autographed copies of 'Brabham - Ralt - Honda: The Ron Tauranac Story' by Mike Lawrence are now available exclusively at TMC for just $49.95 plus shipping. Sir Jack also signed some 1/43 scale models of his World Championship winning Coopers. We'll post further information after we unpack.
Another highlight of the weekend was the launch of B.S. 'Burt' Levy's latest racing novel 'The Fabulous Trashwagon'. Copies are now in stock for $30.00 plus shipping. We'll also post photos later today of a rare, 1970 Road America Can Am official poster autographed by our old friend and former Can Am competitor Oscar Kovaleski.
More updates later today (if we have the strength. It was a hot one!!!).
