7/29/01 UPDATE: I've posted photos of all the new Minichamps models HERE. After Sunday morning, you may want to consider grabbing a 1/18 Ralf Schumacher BMW Williams 2001 Presentation Car from Minichamps while they last ($64.95).
Will a Williams driver be World Champion in 2002? They're coming on strong!

7/27/01 UPDATE: Our Minichamps shipment has arrived: Check out the new stuff HERE. Pictured above right is the Limited Edition (2,016) 1/43 Brumos Porsche 911 Carrera RSR driven by Peter Gregg and Hurley Haywood to victory at the 1973 24 Hours of Daytona ($39.95). Above left is the Limited Edition (2,352) 1/43 Gulf Porsche 917 driven by Jo Siffert and Brian Redman ($39.95).
I hope to have photos of all the new Minichamps up by Saturday night.
Many of you have asked about the size of the new Alan Fearnley Michael Schumacher print. Overall print size will be 29.5" x 22" with an image size of 23" x 15.75". These autographed prints are selling rapidly, in anticipation of Schumacher's fourth World Championship this season. If you wish to reserve one at the issue price of $895.00, we strongly suggest you do it now.
Action Performance has announced a 1/24 scale Inaugural Chicagoland Speedway - Tropicana 400 version of the winning Kevin Harvick GM Goodwrench Chevrolet. The model will be released in the fall. We've reserved a few for our Joliet NASCAR fans. Just $54.95 plus shipping.
Good news for those of you who have been asking for the new book by Chris Nixon: 'The Robert Fellowes Collection: Grand Prix 1934-1939'. Copies are headed our way and should arrive in mid-August. Reserve now at $67.95. We will be including a signed Chris Nixon bookplate with every copy sold at TMC.
7/26/01 UPDATE: For those of you coming to Chicago for this weekend's Target Grand Prix, we will NOT have a display at the track this year. However, our Downers Grove gallery will be open today until 6pm and Friday and Saturday from 10am to 5pm. We hope you'll stop by.
We will have displays at the Mid Ohio and Road America CART events in August.
If you missed them earlier this spring, we just received a restock from Terrific Stuff Videos. As of this morning, everything is in stock!
For those of you going to Lime Rock for the Porsche Reunion this weekend, bring plenty of film and video tape. We understand Roger Penske himself will be driving the Sunoco Porsche 917/30 Panzer on Friday and Saturday!
One last update this afternoon: GMP has informed us that they've delayed production of the Dan Gurney McLaren M8B 'High Wing' car. Seems they need to do a bit more work on the rear wing. We'll hopefully see the first M8B in December and it may or may not be a Gurney car. BUT, release of the Dan Gurney M8D has been moved up to October 2001. That will be the next McLaren we see from GMP.
We still have a few Denny Hulme M8A's in stock at the issue price of $99.95, if you wish to collect a proper 'Bruce and Denny' set.

7/25/01 UPDATE: The latest addition to our selection of fine pewter sculptures from Europe is this impressive Mercedes-Benz W125 Streamliner. This Limited Edition piece, approved by the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart, measures more than 27 inches in length and weighs a massive 22 pounds. More photos HERE.
We're expecting a large shipment of Minichamps models later this week. Here's a list of what's coming. If you haven't yet ordered your 1/43 Mark Donohue Porsche 917/30, now is your chance. We have a few extra cars coming.

7/24/01 UPDATE: Today we've got some photos of the Chaparrals at Road America for you. Enjoy!
Stop back tomorrow for some new arrivals, including a stunning new sculpture of the Mercedes W125 Streamliner.

7/23/01 UPDATE: Back from an exciting weekend at Road America. First, we'd like to wish a Happy 66th Birthday to Jim Hall, and thank him for graciously taking time out from his duties as Grand Marshall of the Brian Redman International Challenge (and driving two of his fabulous Chaparrals on demonstration runs over the 4 mile circuit!) to grant TMC a private autograph session at our paddock display yesterday.
I've just posted a list of Jim Hall Autographed Items. A couple more items will be posted later on.
We'll get to your phone calls and emails on Tuesday, when things get back to normal. I'll also post photos of all four Chaparrals that were on display at Elkhart Lake over the weekend.
Stop back soon! gggggg- PZ

7/18/01 UPDATE: While packing for this weekend's BRIC Historic Races at Elkhart Lake this weekend, I came across a few copies of John Napier Hill's pencil print of Denny Hulme, which we commissioned for what turned out to be his final appearance at Road America back in 1992. They're unsigned, but a real bargain at $20.00.
7/17/01 UPDATE: Exoto's spectacular Ferrari Gift Set, featuring Niki Lauda's 312T and Gilles Villeneuve's 312T4 is here ($299.95). Photos on the Die Cast New Arrival Page.
For those of you who were at Chicagoland Speedway
over the weekend, we have the #29 Goodwrench Chevrolet of Kevin
Harvick in stock for $54.95. Photos on the Die
Cast New Arrival Page.

7/16/01 UPDATE: Sorry for the lack of updates the past week or so. We've been preparing for this weekend's Brian Redman International Challenge at Road America. Guests of honor will be a tall Texan and four little white cars. As you probably know, Jim Hall is bringing out 4 of his legendary Chaparral sports racers for the first time since they were driven up the hill at Goodwood in 1997 and this year's BRIC is expected to be the most exciting US Vintage weekend of the year. We'll have our normal display in the Road America paddock and will feature a selection of books, models, artwork and slotcars that will be make ideal mementos for Hall to autograph.
We've also arranged a private session for Jim Hall to sign a selection of items for those of you who are unable to attend the event. I'll post a list of autographed items when we return.
We will be closed this Saturday, due to our commitment at Road America.
New Die Cast Arrivals include yet another 1/18 scale GT350, this one from Lane's Exact Detail Collection. The Rick Kopec Essex Wire 1965 Shelby R-Model is now in stock for $89.95.
We've added a few other interesting pieces
to the New Die Cast Arrivals
page this afternoon.

7/10/01 UPDATE:
A 'Golden' day here at TMC, with the arrival of three unique gold
plated 1/18 scale Limited Edition models from Action Performance.
On the right, a special Gold
2000 US Grand Prix at Indianapolis Event Car produced in a
Limited Edition of 2000 ($125.00). The original 1/18 USGP
event car is selling for more than that on the Secondary Market!
Event cars are becoming all the rage this year.
Above, is the 2001 Rolex 24 at Daytona winning Corvette C5R, sprayed in gold, then with 'post race' grime giving a very unusual (and very cool) effect. With the Corvette's historic Daytona win this year, it may develop into quite a memento, especially since only 1,008 have been produced !!! A #3 Dale Earnhardt Corvette C5R is also in stock, limited to 11,000 pieces. The Gold Corvettes are priced at $110.00 each.
You can see additional photos of all three cars on our New Release Die Cast page.
We'll have some big news regarding a new Michael Schumacher signed Limited Edition Print from one of England's top artists in a couple of days. It is entitled "Just Another Day At The Office." With Schumi heading for his 4th World Championship as well as Alain Prost's record for most career GP victories, it may be something you'll want to add to your collection. He's signing fewer and fewer autographs these days. Only 500 copies will be available world wide, so you'll want to reserve one soon.
The painting is quite beautiful. I'll post the image and other relevant information as soon as the Publisher officially announces the print at Silverstone this weekend.
7/9/01 UPDATE: Back from Road America. We'll be unpacking this morning and will get to your emails and phone messages this afternoon.

7/3/01 UPDATE: Just in: Karl Ludvigsen's latest book 'Classic Racing Engines' gives an overview of 50 classic motor racing engines selected from an 80 year period, starting in 1913 when racing power units emerged as a distinct breed. Including many famous engines (the Gurney Weslake V12, the Auto Union 6 litre V16, the Alfa Romeo 159 1.5 litre eight, the Matra V12, the Drake Offenhauser and many, many others) as well as engines that are less well known, it gives a clear sense of each unit's significance in terms of both its racing history and the advancement of technology.
Hardback, 224 pages, 350 black and white illustrations. $49.95 plus shipping.
Have a safe 4th of July.
We will be closed on Wednesday, 'in and out' on Thursday and closed Friday. Jim Smith will make a rare public appearance here on Saturday while I'm at the Road America 500.
Look for our booth in the Paddock at Elkhart Lake this weekend.

7/2/01 UPDATE: A few very special copies of 'Count Maggi's Mille Miglia' has just arrived. Three hundred copies have been signed by the Author, Peter Miller and 1955 Mille Migla Winner Stirling Moss. Each copy is acconmpanied by a numbered Letter of Authenticity, also signed by the Author.
