6/29/02 UPDATE: An interesting item crossed our desk today. It's a 1/24 scale Kenny Bernstein Budweiser King dragster produced by Action Performance in 1995 for Mac Tools. It was one of the first dragsters produced by Action and with Bernstein in his farewell season, an extremely desireable item. More photos on the Hard to Find Die Cast page.

6/27/02 UPDATE: We are offering a framed copy of another sold out limited edition print by Alan Fearnley. 'Villeneuve' commemorates the great Canadian's victory in the 1981 Monaco Grand Prix for Ferrari. He's pictured going through the Casino Square closely followed by teammate Didier Pironi. Additional photos HERE. Each copy of 'Villeneuve' is signed by Ferrari's Chief Engineer at the time, Mauro Forghieri. A very rare offering. We've only had 2 of these in the past 5 years!
It's almost time to pack up and hit the road. We'll be at Road America twice in July - for the ALMS race July 5-7 and the BRIC Historic Races July 19-21. We'll be at our normal spots in the Paddock both weekends (across from Skip Barber and the Brat stand near Corner 5 for ALMS and in the Vendor Village at the BRIC). Look for the TMC banner.
During the BRIC weekend, we've made arrangements for a book signing with both Ron Tauranac and 3 time World Champion and BRIC Grand Marshall Sir Jack Brabham to sign copies of 'Brabham, Ralt, Honda: The Ron Tauranac Story' by Mike Lawrence. 'Double-signed' copies may be reserved by email or phone at just $49.95 per copy plus shipping.

Although it carries Mears' 1984 sponsor patches, the suit itself was produced in March of 1983. Stitch marks indicate this could be the suit Rick wore at Indianapolis in 1983. SOLD6/12/02 AFTERNOON UPDATE: The above photo is an authentic Rick Mears driver suit that we have just been offered. The suit was manufactured by Simpson in the spring of 1983 and is now adorned with a set of Mears's 1984 sponsor patches. As we learned with our Mark Donohue Suit a few years ago, patches on driver suits were routinely updated and suits re-used race after race, unlike today's system of a new suit (or 3) every weekend.

6/10/02 UPDATE: We're acquired two more rare 'secondary market' Alan Fearnley Limited Edition prints, pictured above. 'Heading for Victory' commemorates Sir Jack Brabham's victory in the 1966 German Grand Prix at the Nurburgring and is signed by the 3 time World Champion ($500.00). 'McLaren 104' commemorates Ayrton Senna's final Grand Prix victory in a McLaren in the 1993 Australian GP ($650.00). The print is signed by Ron Dennis. Both pieces are framed, as seen above. 6/5/02 UPDATE: Glen Ellyn's own Rich Vogler was one of the most outstanding oval track racers of his time. He stands second only to A.J. Foyt in USAC career victories with 134 National wins in Midgets, Sprints, Gold Crown and Silver Crown categories. Vogler died while leading a Sprint car race in Salem, Indiana in 1990. The race was red flagged when he crashed and not resumed, giving him his final victory. GMP has just released a very limited edition 1/18 scale model (1,200 pieces) of Rich Vogler's Siebert Olds Sprint Car. We have a small quantity in stock for $74.95. More photos HERE.

Above, and at several other locations on the TMC website, you will find the formal announcement of a new Alan Fearnley Limited Edition print signed by Juan Pablo Montoya. 'Prima Vittoria' commemorates Montoya's first Grand Prix victory at Monza last September and has been published in an edition of just 400 prints. We understand Montoya signed the prints yesterday. A signing photo will be provided with each copy. The artist will sign and number the edition in England next week, so we expect our first shipment about a week later.
We expect worldwide demand to be substantial, so get your order in as soon as possible.
