Updated 1/28/00: GMP's fabulous 1/12 scale Johnny Lightning Dirt Champ Car arrived today. Pre-orders will ship on Monday. The edition of 1400 is completely sold out but we will have a car on display here at TMC to illustrate the incredible quality and detail presented in this new series from GMP.
The second car in the GMP 1/12 Champ Dirt Car series, the AJ Foyt Bowes Seal Fast Special, features a detailed Offenhauser engine and is scheduled for release in September 2000. You can still reserve one here at TMC at the issue price of $299.95.
Speaking of Offenhausers, Vintage Power has begun production of a Limited Edition 1/6 scale brass replica of the venerable 255 Offy engine. No more than 500 will be produced. The first pieces are scheduled to arrive at TMC in early February. We had an early example (engine #0005) on display here at TMC last fall and took a series of digital photos. You can see them HERE. Issue price is $395.00.
Good news from Action: The 1/18 Michael Andretti car is due to arrive here at TMC early next week!

This afternoon, we updated our 1998 Formula One, 1998 Tower Wing, 1999 Presenation and 1999 Formula One Minichamps model pages. One piece you may want to take another look at is the 1999 Arrows Barcelona Test Car driven by Tora Takagi. This model was produced in an extremely small limited edition of 1,500. We have a few remaining at $34.95 plus shipping. One to a customer, please.
We expect some 1/18 scale 1999 Minichamps GP cars to arrive shortly, including the 1999 McLaren Mercedes MP4/14 of World Champion Mika Hakkinen. These are not 'gray market' cars and will be priced a bit more friendlier than some of the other 99 F1 cars we've seen. Order now.

today consists of photos of the two new 1/18 scale Exoto
models that arrived this week. They are the Jody
Scheckter 'driver figure' Tyrrell P34 and the Eddie
Keizan Lucky Strike Tyrrell Ford 004. Both pieces are in stock
for immediate delivery.
The 'driverless' P34 of Jody Scheckter and the 'driver figure' Patrick Depailler have now been listed as 'retired' by Exoto with an asking price of $249.95 on their website. We have a few of each piece available for $195.00 each.

Updated 1/19/00: Just back from a week of 'hunting' on the other side of the Pond. Lots of new stuff since I left. The Carousel 1 1955 Kurtis Roadster of Bill Vukovich has just been released. We'll be shipping preorders the rest of the week. We also received the latest version of Exoto's Tyrrell P34, the 'driver figure' version of the Jody Scheckter car along with the 'Lucky Strike' Tyrrell 004.
Our restock order of 1999 LeMans Yearbooks is also here, along with our long lost author signed copies of 'Drawing and Painting Racing Cars' by Michael Turner and 'Juan Manuel Fangio' by Karl Ludvigsen, We thought they might have been on the Titanic!

Triumph' ($170.00) commemorates the Jordan Team's third GP victory at
the 1999 Italian Grand Prix. Each copy is signed by Eddie Jordan.
'Victory Lap' ($125.00) commemorates
Eddie Irvine's victory in the 1999 Austrian Grand Prix. Both titles
are available in 500 print Limited Editions. Several Ferrigno

Updated 1/6/00: As promised, here are some photos of the latest Mattel Hot Wheels Formula One cars to arrive here at TMC. They're a mix of 98 and 99 cars in 1/18, 1/24 and 1/43 and seem to be getting better as we go along. We expect more to arrive in the next couple of weeks. Reserve your Ferraris now! Our favorite Hot Wheels is still the 1/24 scale McLaren Diorama. They have just released 1999 versions similar to the 1998 Limited Editions. They are the Forsythe Racing Reynards of Greg Moore and Patrick Carpentier, equiped with road course wings, and the Target Team Ganassi Reynard Honda of Jimmy Vasser, in Speedway trim. All three cars are in stock ($29.95 each), but we are putting a two car limit on the Greg Moore model for the time being. Photos HERE.

from Action, the Reynard Mercedes of Mauricio Gugelmin ($79.95). Big
Mo's car features the most spectacular paint job we've seen on
